What Men Want In A Wife......[a Man's View; Inspired By Elisabeth Wingle's Marriage Bliss; Humor? ; Marriage Disturbances; Short]
Beauty, skin-deep, is not all that men need.
[We won't reject a beauty. No, ma'am, indeed....,
BUT] YOU must have a few other qualities 'so nice',
e.g. Bring another Scotch, dear, this time with more ice!
And: My sock drawer's nearly empty. Put in a load.
The washing is overdue! Don't Make Me, you, Scold!
And: When was the last time, Dear, you polished my shoes?
Do you think you can decide to do whatever you damn choose? !
And: I don't want to hear 'it's my time of the month' or 'a headache' anymore.
AND when was the last time you vacuumed and polished the WHOLE kitchen floor?
Men to Women: It may seem the list is endless......., and so what if it is?
We men work hard,9-5. How 'bout YOU, girls? Tell us: 'what the Hell gives? '

nice.... the dream-wife we all do not have but we have to, rather the wives, remember..though we can not touch the ideal but we have to try to reach it as we can (at least we have to keep the direction rightly) ...as I think.. I am now afraid of the women Bri has invited to comment....I see they are going to raise hands holding a placard against us from the so called ground of FEMINISM...... really a true poem on humor, husband, marriage, wife, work.... I like the use of the word or phrase.. skin-deep thanks for sharing.

I wonder what Mme. Bri thinks of this poem? I'm thinking you didn't show it to her. My wife read my poem Crazy Women today and wouldn't talk to me for an hour.
Work distribution is cause of many marital discord. In most societies men want women to do all the dirty chore of the house and still think that women are doing nothing.This mind set is very common in India.I have read a news some years back that a man killed his wife in a fit of rage because she delayed cooking rice. A good humor poem .- - - a burning issue of all time- - - - Thanks for sharing.
