Trees In Love

Trees reach up
The leaves reach out
The roots grow deep

Thus is my love for you

Plant your feet in my soil
Taste the salt of my soul
Place your future willingly

Thus your love is for me

Sing the chorus of every leaf
Waving in a tempest tossed
The choir in green goes aloft

Thus our love is forever more

I'm so glad you're spreading love for trees with this poem. The more voices like yours that are heard, the greater future generations have of still having enough leafy friends. (Report) Reply

A beautiful poem. Love defined metaphorically, love and nature intertwined.

I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
