Remember The Days Poem by Susan Thomas

Remember The Days

Remember when we went to the park everyday?
We'd fly kites, ride bikes, run around and play?
We'd go after school when your homework was done,
Those were the days when we had so much fun.

Remember when we watched movies every night before bed?
And a night time prayer would always be said?
Then we'd go to sleep as a new day begun,
Those were the days when we had so much fun.

Now I wake up each morning to see you're not here,
And I know that you are out there, somewhere,
My life is so empty now that you are all gone,
And I think back to the days when we had so much fun.

Thank goodness for our memories. The good ones anyway. No one can ever take those from us and when we feel sad we can pull them from our minds and find solace in what once was. Sounds like you have some truly beautiful memories.

I miss my childhood. Days were softer and brighter. I submit to the dark now, alone and unafraid because I write about it! Ifeel this ~.~
