I think ‘twas Nona, some food, Did Drop,
which onto dining room floor went "PLOP"!
Not discovered for quite a longgg while,
many a tiny ant, upon that food, did PILE ….,
Munching Merrily away.
But then Big Bad Bri finally Did Discover ….
theants feasting; yes, them I did uncover ….
So-to-Speak**.
What happened next (well, you can decide) ,
might be called an extensive act of Anticide.
I'd tell Nona's mom, if I thought SHE would care.
BUT I'll keep my mouth shut; it seems (to me)fair,
since "Mom" has no interest in 'things-trivial';
& ‘twill keep My Matrimony.....More convivial ***!

hey, some recent comments i've made on poems, including THIS ONE, JUST NOW, do NOT yet show up in the listing of my Postings (which i sometimes check from the Member Area page. ; (: (
well, my SECOND COMMENT showed up. the first one (the missing one) had 'complained' that PH (? ? ?) had stolen some spaces which i'm SURE i'd put between some words of this poem. i'll try this one now [fingers are crossed! ]. bri :)
A funny, delightful and thoughtful write. Definitely, the food on the floor provided a feast for the ants. Cleaning this mess is incumbent on the person who first noticed it. Immediate attention is needed to address the piling of ants. The act of not discussing or disclosing the matter to maintain an enjoyable relationship is a very thoughtful act. A well executed write beautifully crafted.10
Not discovered for quite a longgg while, many a tiny ant, upon that food, did PILE …., Munching Merrily away., .................. outstanding observation, thanks for sharing the poem with us,10
Wonderful imaginary. After hearing a plop it has been discovered the pile of food and tiny ants' munching and feasting. It may be quoted.....then Big Bad Bri finally Did Discover …. the ants feasting; yes, them I did uncover …. Finally this poem leads to humour that has been nicely presented. Beautiful poem indeed. Thanks.
I could not understand 'Big Bad Bri'....Is it Bri Edwards? I am delighted to read this poem carrying humor!
Let no ant rip asunder what has been joined in happy matrimony. Not telling 'mom.'? I'd say that's a great call, Bri. Terrific poem as well.
How sad; in your next life you may be an ant And wished that you had been more tolerant As Bri-ant you will then see life from their view All the hardship they faced with people like you Ho! Ho! Ho! Thanks Bri.
Such a nice write.... I would like you read my poem In the mid of the night.... Naila 👍👍
