Alternate Dimensions

Who would I be in an alternate dimension
Would I be popular
beloved by many people
head in the stars, face all over tv
the famous poet I set out to be
live a life without goodbyes
live a life without mistakes and hesitation
Who would I be in alternate dimension
Would I be an alcoholic
dumbstruck, a mute
a speck on the globe
living on the streets
holding up a sign
saying someone ripped out my vocal chords
but I would perform work
just to get a clean set of clothes
Who would I be in an alternate dimension
Would I be a ladies man
look into a pair of starry eyes
and they'd be mine to control, to be apart of my very selfish desires
or would I just have the love of someone I never knew
or would she just be mine
and I'd be the only one to exist in her universe
while I am no one to the world
or would she hate me
despise everything I am
while I do everything in my heart to change her beautiful mind
Who would I be in an alternate dimension
A grave digger, ditch digger
a complete incompetent fool
or an evil genius
a football star
or a debater
a band geek
or a comic book fanatic
a trash collector
or would I have a job at all
would I be in college
or would throw it all away for crime
Would I just be shot in the back
end it all in a public suicide
or drown in the lake
while I'm being watched by flickering cigarette
Who would I be in an alternate dimension
Alternate Dimensions...
Alternate Dimensions...
Alternate Dimensions...
would I still be me or somebody new...
would I still be me or would I be you...
