The Sound Of Nothing Poem by soren Barrett

The Sound Of Nothing

When there is nothing to say and nothing to feel
to the center of the compass fall directions
Winds swirl into calm waves against the keel
connections splinter sun's reflections

Mist of dreams, intoxicated themes,
broken eddies drift in rhyme
Bleeding noise, sunshine silence redeems,
hushed clouds of cotton ball clocks chime

The stillness of breath of an infant sleeping,
burning candle light's sound,
ethereal joy through silk sands seeping,
on silent notes, home is found
