This song came out as my dad was being diagnosed with cancer. His brave fight, his hospital gown (silly red sheet,) his struggles, remission, and ultimately his demise all reach me through this song. It still makes me cry. I hope if I ever have to face cancer, I'll be able to find the 'special things inside of me' to fight as hard as he did.
