You Can't Kill The Devil With A Gun

Murder, kill, murder, kill, murder
All we see...
I don't expect a planetary change... because of me
I hope to bring attention to the
Pain...
There is hope for us all but it'd start within
The brains
O Lord... we can see the evil
We try to kill the devil using a gun
But what happens is... someone ends up losing a son
And we act like sin is positive
View it as fun...
And we trade our true identities for juice and a blunt
Abusing the funds
Talk about society NOW
Don't you ever mention peace and sobriety, child
All I want to do is
See...
The confounded are hurt
God bless everybody in the sound of my verse
These times are atrocious
Look at our words
I'm not understanding why we act like books are a germ
I've learned...
That you can't fight the devil with evil
There is nothing that would make me go to HELL with him either
Understand... there's no beef with a man
The enemy is satan
I can see through his plans
That's why he's trying to break me
Don't you ever give him a
Chance...
He will surely take it
If he ever asks you to dance... use repudiation!
Don't ever stray no matter what people say
Only Jesus is the way and
The time is TODAY
And you don't ever have to play into the hand of the devil
He wouldn't taunt, curse or put you down if you're on HIS LEVEL
He will say forget the Lord and keep your eyes on the bacon
If you follow God, any other side is of satan
Don't let this crooked world trick you into owning it's lies
After this... he will attack me so I won't be surprised
But...

I have Jesus on my side

Come on... we have to be smarter than this

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.
