Y/. New Me

An almost perfect silence embraces
a whispering fountain of sparks
illuminating my inner thoughts

An almost perfect silence envelops
pepper of love that’s being sprinkled
on the plainness of my hungry ego

A perfect silence
of light and love
A new me emerges

Silence can be boring or exhilarating, it can be terrifying or illuminating. Thanks to your poem our minds can contemplate only its positive aspects safely and freely. You wrote this poem in March, which in my part of the world includes the beginning of spring. I mention that because this is the epitome of a SPRING POEM. It signals a new season for the heart and mind with quiet hope. It's not exaggerating the possibilities, just reminding us that the silence within us holds hope for those who seek it. This poem is truly a gift to your readers, a kind of parallel to the gifts to others you found in my ONE TRUE DREAM. (Report) Reply

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
