Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
...
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.
...
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
...
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
...
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
...
It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
...
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
...
The free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
...
I do not love you except because I love you;
I go from loving to not loving you,
From waiting to not waiting for you
My heart moves from cold to fire.

Writing a poem is not about bringing some words together to create some charming sentences. It's so much deeper than that. Writing poetry is a bridge that allows people to express their feelings and make others live every single word they read. Poetry is to educate people, to lead them away from hate to love, from violence to mercy and pity. Writing poetry is to help this community better understand life and live it more passionately. PoemHunter.com contains an enormous number of famous poems from all over the world, by both classical and modern poets. You can read as many as you want, and also submit your own poems to share your writings with all our poets, members, and visitors.
Ye flowery banks o' bonnie Doon,
How can ye blume sae fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sae fu' o' care?
Thou'll break my heart, thou bonie bird,
That sings upon the bough;
Thou minds me o' the happy days,
When my false love was true.
Thou'll break my heart, thou bonnie bird,
That sings beside thy mate;
For sae I sat, and sae I sang,
And wist na o' my fate.
Aft hae I roved by bonnie Doon
To see the wood-bine twine,
And ilka bird sang o' its luve,
And sae did I o' mine.
Wi' lightsome heart I pulled a rose
Frae aff its thorny tree;
And my false luver stole my rose
But left the thorn wi' me.

Wild eyes—and faces ashen grey
That strain through lofty prison bars
To see the everlasting stars,
Then turn—to slumber as we may:
Even as we are, so are they,
And here is peace for all who know
The stars still follow where we go,
When heaven and earth have passed away.

A world overheated,
brightly burning and boiling in its bone marrow.
Take the taiga and the tundra,
take what is left untreated.
Still, at least, people talk
musing on the way of talking.
Metallic brass or a nod in agreement?
Trying to carry meaning honestly,

Use recipe base from yellow and blue round corn flour/meal box. Use organic white flour (White Whole wheat flour organic?) only in recipe with the corn flour, water from boiling corn on the stove for corn water - maize, (try that anyway instead of plain purified water which is what i used instead of milk. and be sure water is cooled if boiling corn water which can be called corn flower water.....1/2 about or more of pith torn in small pieces, fresh organic blueberries as desired, sea salt and follow recipe on the box......streusel finally - you put on top of batter with streusel from whole wheat flour ONLY, cinnamon, dark brown sugar and Kerry Gold Irish butter or any good butter. DO NOT USE MILK.... A great meal also, maybe i was thinking my favorite meal >>>>wheaties, organic blueberries and 2% milk or so >>>>>

Camellia Chocolate Cake Hersheys Cocolate cake is the base from the back of the brown cocoa box....use organic whole wheat flour, baking soda and powder, sea salt, corn oil, boiling water from corn boiling on the stove ie corn water - maize, pith from one half to 3 quarters of an orange.... i dont know what type of orange and think maybe the corn water and component from corn flour in Cornburst Bread could be the deciding factor in making the awesome like bouquets of florida flowers flavor, , , Mix all into a batter and then sprinkle ginger on top of the batter....just a sprinkling - fun, just before putting the pan in the oven, I used 1....9 inch round baking pan - one layer and no frosting needed....the orange in the cake was that very citrusy... only maybe some confectionary sugar just before serving only otherwise the sugar soaks into the cake. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
