Singing Lullabies / Dark Angel - Poem by Lilly Emery

Singing Lullabies / Dark Angel

Dark angel singing sweet songs to me why he was changing me
To his thinking lullabies to soothe my soul within his soul
Coming to me in dreams all his sayings

leaving at dawn’s light
When he had gone away to find someone to change
He always tell me I am his only
But that was not good for me

I want to be free, the gray sky is what he gives me
With a glimmer in Dark Angels eyes shining brightly though mine
Velvet Moon never cross me

Dark angel capturing imagination of what he could and would do to
Me if he had to get mean
In the descending arc of a tear
Falling gently down to earth from up so high

I started to raze my head up high why I looked him in the eyes
I said don't forget I am the love of what you have left.
I am your very best don't ever forget!
