Pride Poem by Reason A. Poteet

Pride

spine poem, acrostic

subtitle: All That Glitters Is Not Gold

ALL Christians become distracted.
THAT peacock of pride still
GLITTERS brightly. Its power blinds.
IS cheap brassiness worth the effort?
NOT at all when it hides the pure
GOLD underneath selfish facade.

SHINE on me,
JESUS,
SHINE through me.
