'My Dull Bright Wish' - Poem by Sam Warraich

Someday, I would be sitting besides her...
feeling the thrill, of a newborn fur...

Staring in her eyes, I might be lost...
fortune will pay me the long due cost...

Her filtered view, through the glasses she wears...
would wipe off all the thrilling tears...

Her smiling cheeks would display the dimples...
purging out of my soul, all the unsolved wrinkles...

That one moment, she'll be thinking of me...
how would I handle the craze of my dream...

The spacing of her teeth, would pull apart my spirit...
All of the permissions would be accredited...

Oh the black beauty of her magical gown...
would give my heart all the colors that it owns...

That red shyness on her cute nose...
would urge the flowers of my heart to rose...

She would listen to the words I always wanted to utter...
The pain of my heart would be relieved, which had to, once, suffer...

But how would all of these come true...
As the most I said is only a few...

Endless grains of wishes are buried inside the bed of limits...
Like somehow, all my dreams prove to be illicit...

She is like a fairy tale to me...
dances over my heart but never lets me see...

A princess of dreams...
who vanishes with a light of steam...

A beautiful lie and a bitter truth...
burning over the fully groomed youth...

She is like a rainbow after rain...
She is like a relief after pain...

She is an everlasting flame...
She is an arrogant fame...

She is the essence of love...
She is the softness of dove...

She is for me...
As life is for the dead...

She is for me...
As a flower bed...

She is for me...
As a rose in pond...

She is for me...
As a never joining bond...

She is for me...
my reason to live...

She is for me...
my path to departure...

She is for me, my whole full life...
She is for me, my hopeless strive...

I never imagined my whole life to spend with her...
to realize the truth is somehow fine...

She can never be mine in this whole lot life...
I just want a day, for which she would be mine...

Oh my dear heart! Wish I could do something for your pain to blow...
deserts were never a place for a rose to grow...

look at you and then of her, take a sight...
Darkness was never meant for the bright...

However there is a hope, like a glimpse of light...
like a hope of water, for a writhing fish...

Perhaps, one day, I would be sitting besides her...
feeling the thrill, of a newborn fur...

Staring in her eyes, I might die..
Fulfilled will be, 'My Dull Bright Wish'
