Midnights Voice

Veteran Poet - 1,150 Points (November 3,1950 / Selma, Alabama)

Midnights in Voice

I cannot be
by the days light
Only in shadows
dimly glow
can I free my
every effort...midnights voice

To keens play
upon all asunder
my words do glow
when the light is under

You ask, given, and received
Words that readily deceive
Do you expect me to plunder
My words as midnight's humbler

Listen, then decide
Where it is you reside
Between the silence of every word
Or breathlessly on the shards of your reward

More like you can't come out in the light of day so you free your voice at midnight, hence your name. (Report) Reply
