I was all ears!
To hear a call from you,
To hear your soft whispers,
To hear your sighs you let go.
To listen to the sweet melody
That used to ring in my ears
Whenever you spoke to me.
Days came and days passed.
Nights came, nights passed.
I heard the breeze gently blow
And the dew droplets caress
The sleeping grasses' blades.
I heard the leaves say good bye,
Fall on one another and gently lie.
But yet I didn't hear your call,
Nor did I hear your whisper.
Nor the quiet sighs that merged
Gently with the passing breeze.
Even with the noisiest cacophony
And the rowdy crowd all around,
My ears lie in wait for just a hello!
Your words caress with such tenderness and love oozing from the page, with such delicacy and softness like fluffy white clouds overflowing with your tears for the longing of hearing from your beloved! Stunning write!
@Hazel Durham, I am indeed overwhelmed by your generous appraisal of my poem. Thank you so much, dear poet!
Just a hello....can fill the heart with the concerto of the loveliest music....played over and over, filling the balcony of our soul, with the acoustics of long awaited love....hello....hello....hello....so beautiful, when spoken from the lips we long for. PEACE
Oh, so poetically explained what I tried to say in simple words! Thank you, dear Susan Lacovara, for augmenting my poem with your ornamental offering. Much inspired and obliged! I've just read your poem - 'After The Towers Fell' and commented on it.
Patience sir, it will come. This poem brings familiar thoughts, this brings smile.
This is actually very nice indeed Khairul. I have also found myself waiting for a phone call from far away or even from a loved one nearby. It is funny that the simple things in live can mean so much. Even a phone call with just a hello how are you? can boost the spirits. Very enlightening.
Thank you Patricia Grantham, for stopping by and leaving a comment here. Much inspired by your kind appreciation. I've read your wonderful poem - 'Peace' and left a comment there.
@ Cassandra Jasmine, Thanks for reading my poem, offering the nice words and giving it a generous 10/10. The ideas come naturally. Read my 'Biography Of A Poem'.

I would like to translate this poem
Great poem, Mr. Ahsan! How do you come up with so many ideas for poems, yet inspiration is sometimes hard-found in me? Anyways, it captures a grerat, serene feeling. A 10 from me!
