And Softly Silence Speaks.....

When love flows between two yearning hearts,
Gods and angels listen,
As softly silence speaks,
And softly silence speaks.....

When the loving couple walk hand in hand,
Along the banks of a flowing river,
Even the lapping sound slowly ceases,
And softly silence speaks.....

When the loving duo sit in the dark woods,
The nocturnal birds and animals listen,
Their whispers travel miles away,
As softly silence speaks.....

When the lovers take a moonlight stroll,
And divulge their secrets to attentive ears,
Even the crickets stop their evening songs,
And softly silence speaks.....

Very nice Khairul - I loved it and express it through few lines of one of my poems....

And that silent voice is so very sharp
that can be listened by even a deaf
Cause that silent voice speaks a lot
about the love which is so deep (Report) Reply

my daddy once sayed that there was a story of silence and he was quiet afterword.
And if you lission quietly in your backyard you can hear the birds chirping and the wind whispering softly. (Report) Reply

Can you hear me applauding you for describing, simple love? You did one of the rare poems of love from outside the couple, and the repetitive As softly silence speaks pure poetry ;) (Report) Reply

Often the silence speaks loudest of all. I have come to be quite a friend to the silence. It is there I can hear the beating of my own heart, undisturbed by outside influences...what a wonderful depiction of silence shared. Too many people get swept up in the myriad of noise, that is everyday chatter...to get lost, if only momentarily, in the sweet symphony that is silence...cathartic. PEACE. (Report) Reply
