Jesus Is The Super Power

Jesus gave a lot of us powers;
some people can sing, some people plant flowers
happiness is another super power
every gift He gives is a power untold
and every gift differs, but they're all made of gold
(for us to use to survive in this world
until we fly up to Heaven to streets made of gold
and gather the presents that'll never grow old)

Oh some people can lead
and some need a hand
and some people can tell
what the future has planned

some people know other languages
that they were never taught
and some people can tell stories
and others write books

Oh, some powers we were born with
and others we're given
even people who aren't saved
have reason to thank Him

Oh, but we can't all live off of bread,
we can't all just be chefs
we need the spiritual bread
and we need the gifts Jesus has to give

We all need to pray for Faith,
we all need to pray for Charity,
we all need to pray for Grace,
we all need to pray for Peace,
we all need to pray for Mercy,

and we all need to have changed
and be perfect
so we can walk as children
of GOD.

That's having real superpowers;
that's loving others beyond ourselves
that's being able to overcome ourselves
because we aren't our own anymore

Oh that's having Peace and Trust,
that's having the Comforter holding us
that's growing spiritually
that's being able to Believe

and that's Real and True Life
that's not having fear of dying

that's the Powers that Jesus gives
that's the gift that He died to give you
so why leave it sitting in its wrapper
don't you want superpowers?

Don't you want to live for ever and ever?

I slew a worm the other day—
