Intoxication Poem by Suman Kumar Das

Intoxication

Rating: 5.0

An intoxicated life
Whose black cenotaph
Seen all over society
In each organ of body.

Why to be addicted?
To erase old pains
Or to paint new pleasures
In the canvas of memory.

But at the end of day
Who is the ultimate looser?
Tobacco, alcohol & drugs
Or we, human beings.

It is nice that youngsters begin to think loud against intoxication.... Most of the people take to drinks just as a simple pleasure, but soon it grows into an addiction! Some are led into it as a means to drown their pain... unfortunately it drowns their good sense too...! . Applaud the spirit behind this write!
