I Shall Write Poem by Edwina Reizer

I shall write and I shall sing
and when I finish, not a thing
that's sung or said
will ever compare to thoughts
in my head.

For these thoughts are more
than words or song.
They encompass how I yearn and long
for all the love I have for you
to be returned to me eternally.
Just as the dew returns each morn
and never leaves the grass forlorn.

Still I shall write and I shall sing
and know full-well that everything
is centered in my love for you.
For this, my love, is what I do.
