There in the window sill-
Something happens- like heart beats;
Something swells and gets squeezed-
It is the selfish sparrow is in a playful mood
I open my eyes and smile
The boughs kiss the panes
Leave their marks in illegible signatures
They knock in a shy manner
Trying to wake me up
I open my eyes and smile
The sun forcefully enters through
Chinks in the curtains
It finds spaces in bed and lies
Like a white serpent
It tries to wake me up with its warmth
I open my eyes and smile
