Ian Jobst

(October 14,1999 / Oxford)

I'm going to Testify to

I'm gonna say
on this day
that I attest
that the rest
can't take the heat
from my seat
I see them
and they wonder where this anger Stem's from
You wanna jump then come my way
so I can push you on the highway to hell
Yes, I can spell love
and with a backwards shove, it's evol
But I need an evolution
and restitution
for my pain and suffery
because I'm muffling all this anger
and like a genie in a bottle
you rub me the wrong way
I come out in fight mode
And you got three death wishes with no cheat code
So I'm gonna chop block your life
and at the end of a blunt knife
the tip's still lethal
I put you all in a row just to show you
that the demons inside
won't hide no longer
they will come out in the open
though you have no chance of hoping
to become a little stronger
you won't live no longer
because at the end of my saber
you will feel the labor of my bones
and you selfish crones can take a long walk
off a short dock
if time were money
I'd clean your clock
so you could rot right there
and your death would clean the air
in my lungs
and the sky
would become just a little clearer
and I could see what I can be
in the stars
as I shoot them
I hit the moon
but it' too soon
for me to end it
And like my ender game
you'l never been the same
Testify to that

poet Edgar Allan Poe

Kind solace in a dying hour!
Such, father, is not (now) my theme-
I will not madly deem that power
Of Earth may shrive me of the sin
