Steve Yeager

(Alabama)

I always want you to be mine

I always want you to be mine
Only one that shines
Your love is like a dove
And wants to soar above
Fly'in all high
Up against the sky

If I ever make you cry
I would die inside
and ask you why
I look into your eyes
and start to say
Your the only one I love all the way

Wanna a kiss?
Up until this
I was so shy
That I just walked by
and imagined you were my sweetheart
From the very start

It's just something about you
That I just can't ignore
Your hair is like a blond ocean
Beyond any great emotion
I look into your beautiful eyes
and say 'I love you and nothing more'

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
