Farewell To Love

I know, once I wished to have u dear;
Dreamt you forever
Oh those shine in your face,
Where I got lost many times
Oh, it's over I know,
You caught my heart forever!

It was all joy when I saw you
Off course, you were lonely but
I still remember the moment we laughed together
Oh, it's over I know,
You caught my heart forever!

You were not ready then dear,
Not yet ready even today
Oh ohhhhh, someone married you
But all I wish dear, same shine on your face,
Where I got lost many times,
Oh, it's over: I am sorry,
You caught my heart forever!

It's true I noticed your face;
In your wedding dress today,
You were not the same I knew,
Oh, it's over I know
You caught my heart forever!

You gave me the reason to care for you,
No problem, someone married you
Please, I am there for you
Oh, it's over I know
You caught my heart forever!

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —
Who'd toil'd, and seen no holiday,
For forty years from dawn to dark —
Alone beside Caermarthen Bay.
