Rain was expected
I'd umbrella in hand
So relieved I felt
Till the reality dawned.
Down came the heavy rain
I was totally drenched
Before I could open
My umbrella to shield.
Wind blew with force
Holding umbrella was hard
Its canopy flipped up
Forcing me to abandon it.
Fashion flourishes in light rain
Colorful umbrella stretches upward
Measured steps leap forward
Air of importance fills the space.
When things get hard
One must be prepared
For the worst that may
Come one's way.
