Almighty

There're things
I don't understand
Birth, death and
All the suffering.

Where one comes from
Where'll one go to
Why all this struggle
About crises and changes?

The power that controls
Unexplained wonders
And unexpected events
Must be the Almighty.

Almighty Almighty
I bow unto Thee
Take up all burdens
And set me free.

Hitler and Mussolini, Paul Pot and Thimore and God all belong to one tribe with just a difference. All except God had been painted in the true dark alone and men hated them. There were no rethinking on them. God is painted mostly in white and as absolute dictatorship cannot be questioned, His whims, fancies and acts are seen with amazed minds. Poems pour in and like eating, sleeping and mating are done in a routine manner, the hymns are sung by man who cannot see or hear nor can feel.
With a thousand reasons crying for negating the concept of God man prefers to accept the concept just for the reason everything cannot be explained and from the day first organism evolved into life on this earth 1.9 billion years ago suffering began and there was no looking back since then till almost 2 million years ago. But when the monkey got to man`s attire and the modern man came into existence in Central Africa first, fear of the unknown started conquering the minds and there was no looking back on it till now. Religions, faith groups, blatant liars, metaphysical poets and those who discard science and experiments with devices began designing the concept.
But there is a gloom prevailing. Since the thought that there cannot be no is not good let us go ahead and stand like the tortoise which hides its head in the sand when the predator life encounters to swallow us.

Thank you sir for inviting me to read the poem. I call a spade a spade even when you may say what is there before me is not a spade at all... Hope my observations will never alienate you from me (Report) Reply

Yes there is an Almighty who sees and knows it all. Even though we may
wonder why things are the way it is there is a higher authority that knows
our sufferings, the worlds troubles and all kind of adversity. When you have
time I invite you to read my poem Burden Bearer. (Report) Reply

Your analogy of checker board can be extended here too..man is just a pawn...but with a controlled exercise of free-will... (Report) Reply

Many things remain unfathomable to man. Often we wonder why things are the way they happen, what is the cause of all human suffering, why people are called prematurely, what awaits us after death.... Since time immemorial such thoughts have plagued mankind.... but so far no answers. So face life as it comes. Do what we can to ensure peace and joy! The rest, leave to Him! A moving write!
