Keeping Pace With Time Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Keeping Pace With Time

Rating: 4.7

Measures of time need
Man's periodic intervention.

When sand's all down
Hourglass needs a turn
Pendulum hangs still
Clock needs to be wound
Quartz watch has stopped
Battery needs to be changed
Every clock that runs
Needs to be calibrated
Man does what it takes
To keep pace with time.

Time's perennial river
Keeps on flowing, flowing
Time's planet earth
Keeps on turning, turning
Time's year's season
Keeps changing, changing
Count of time commands
Enduring attention, attention
Man's alert always
Keeps on marching, marching.

Great observations, Sir. Not many write on such a profound theme like time.

Beautiful poetic version of the causal relation with time. All relative things are time-bound in this universe. Very nice.

Time keeps going and never waits for anyone. We just have to move with the time. Beautiful poem

Man's periodic intervention is needed in everything! Otherwise Time, like a river will flow without a designed course! We have to march with time but directing its course! Great write!
