Elegy Written In Heaven Courtyard

Misplaced memory from kingdom best
Lays aimless in front of my front steps
Empty shell, marble faced chamber of death
Forever present, but cannot claim my breath
Roots lie deep beneath the soil’s debris
No visible signs above the ground to see
My heritage extends from the one tree
That held the Light that rose in three

Fox and rabbit perpetual dance
Rabbit runs to save its stance
Fox hounded by horses sounding horns
Life to them a dead end crown of thorns
My soul eternal beyond their vision bible
Emptied digs gather stale grain the custom tribal
The wait from my caretaker too long to bear
Lettering man left my stone-unlettered care

No lease to fill my dotted name trace
All marvel about my unique absent case
Mortals in mourning gather round the bend
Black as black the moonless nights trend
Tears shed for their departed coffin drawn
Curiosity and envy from the battle I won
Whispers abound how the devil I did pawn
Eternal longevity my name beyond the gone

My soul dismounts their one stubborn thought
How little faith they have from the Book they bought
Pride mansions built their one track-winning streak
Fault to blame the understudy servant freak
Who funk it that the poorest of the poorest weed
Paved its way to heaven without dogma creed
The holy chalice from modest wood carved
Blood diamond: Poverty hands starved!

THE EPITAP

I am not blown in the dust bowl fight
I am everywhere where the light is bright
I float above the beam-draped man
Beyond reason or unfinished faith because I can
Not foolish pride or illusion candor
Or gravity, or spill over equation slander
When you pass by my unmarked grave
My soul evolved beyond the human cave

Donate my empty space in the ground
Resting place on earth no where to be found
If by passing thought about my footprint
Let it be known pure love ignited my flint
I equal holy saints in the heavenly realm
I was sincere friend at modesty’s helm
Tyrant master never crossed my giving way
The vacant cross-formed my only charity’s yea

Poem of the Day

poet William Wordsworth

I

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
