Come To Me For Advice

When the tears go running,
If your face looks dead,
If you see your lips turn white,
When the night seems longer than ever,
When you know you do not expect someone,
If you feel alone,
If you feel empty,
If you look at the window
But do not know the name of the one;
If you see yourself in the mirror,
And find darkness that was not there,
If you cry endlessly,
If you cry night behind night
But you do not know the reason why you are crying for,
When you ask yourself:
What am I crying for?
Am I crazy becoming?
Come to me for advice,
Though I shall know at once
That the solution to this is a little bit of warm,
A little bit of love;
I shall know at once
That you need not something,
But someone to hold on to.
Come to me for advice,
Though I shall know at once
That you need to love and loved be;
Come to me for advice,
Though I shall not just say what I think,
But what I every single night and day
Shall experience until the moment I find him.

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
