Cokh

Hotat samay anek pichiya jay,
Dekha jay Tethis-er nil buk.
Samay jeno bolche ar thakbona abaddha,
Oi tinti katar badhone-
Tai dekha jai nalondar chura
Theme geche samay
Bandha howe geche ek muhute
Gach, pata, pakhi, pari dey
otit-er sagore.

Tai aj dekha jay tethiser buke
Ek nabik kore sabujer sandhan
Jekhane gacher tolay
Kew poth cheye bose ache
Jar jonno tar dinga bhore se eneche
Sat-raja-r dhan,
Jar jonno pari diweche otit-er nadi,
Bhuleche etota pother klesh;
Nijo hat-e tuleche parijat.
Aj tar samne ese dekha dey sei cokh,
Jar atol sagore nabik-
Nongor tulte jay bhule.

Chamak bhange Sahorer kolahol-e
Sakal-ke chapiye jay samay,
Chole jay sei cokh saharer poth dhore.

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
