Chantelle

I hope to see your face early in the morning
Long before first light;
When the fog still have her mascara line
across the landscape
And the sun soundly asleep
Like a petal in the bosom of a pink rose
I hope to see you sometime soon
Side by side with a brigade of butterflies
We will fly into the open fields
Find our rhythm and fears unplugged
Come on Chantelle, let's go
While the fog still have her mascara line
across the landscape

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.
