Archeological Finds!
ARCHEOLOGICAL FINDS!
The skeletal remains of our lost civilizations
with its lost cities,
Lie buried deep inside the bowels of the earth!
Remaining alive in the historian's and archeologist's
mind,
Eluding our lost vision of the past, long left behind!
And centuries later when such cities are suddenly
unearthened,
The common man remains rather indifferent!
For dead things cannot be revived, nor lost cities
resurrected!
People remain more concerned with their daily chores
of survival;
The rising price of commodities and the inflation,
Before joining the world of the dead at some later
stage,
And to remain preserved as an old heritage!

for dead thing cannot be revived, nor lost cities resuurected- well said. who cares, when caught in the survival race. Raj this is so uncanny, i wrote PRESEVATION OR WASTAGE, along the same lines the other day. read it if time allows.your poem is really a good social comment.
