Midnights Voice

Veteran Poet - 1,150 Points (November 3,1950 / Selma, Alabama)

Another Second

asking to wait
another second

is a shard of glass
from my broken heart

cutting my life short
moment by moment

my love's aching
heart can bleed

only so long
before all love is lost

and I am caged and wail at
the night for love denied

and dried desire looms
ever closer to me

as I back up
against the bars

Save me!
Save me!

Sao muitas esperas
e maivres os quereres
meu querer e voce meuamor
e a espera e apenas a
consequencia do meu
desejo por ti!
