Amma k naam...! ! ! (Urdu) Poem by Shahzia Batool

kia sahi, kia he ghalat, nok palak batlai
Ye namaz or dua tu ne hamay sikhlai

Zer e taameer sahi, me teri taameer to hun
Aaj me jo hun teri zaat ki tasveer to hun

Bistar e marg tha ya jang ka maidaan koi

Kon mushkil me bhala de ga sambhaala mujh ko!

Dil Batool ab bhi yehi bol raha he tub se

A great poem dedicated to a mother. Each line is an emotional tribute to a great Amma. I would like to quote two lines here: Tu ne suraj ki tarha shab se nikala mujh ko! (Report) Reply

i offer this poem as a comment in the honour and respect of mother ========

A mother is a mother, no substitute of her
    Provides whatever is needed whenever,
Whatever she gives, gives for better,
She never changes whatever is the matter,
Under any circumstances she is the protector,
She lives and dies with her child all together,
She is totally different, incomparable with other.
She never knows how to take, she is only the giver,
She never knows how to harm she is only the benefactor,
She is purer than pure, holier than holy, nothing is more than her, (Report) Reply

written with great feeling and deep emotion.
so we all know the content is great. So too the context.
high on poetic merit as well.
done in a classic format, especially being an ode to the ageless institution of mother. Loved reading it. Thnak you Shazia for this lovely poem. (Report) Reply

Oh mother tell me, the rush that you make to fulfill my wishes, did you also got ever to say i want this, i want that, or writing summaries of incomplete poems marked your childhood, youth, countless pages merciless age? Tell me, How many dreams did you sacrificed when you bargained for me!

Your poem reminds the very essence of verses, that they are created to make us feel our own feelings. (Report) Reply
