Always A Fool

My daughter exclaimed
"Spider! "
I looked aback.
Now she laughed saying
"April fool."
Laughing I said
" I'm always a fool dear".

Promptly she replied
"Everyone knows that."

Embarrassed I thought
if I were a fool always.
