A Morning Opens Up Poem by Neela Nath Das

A Morning Opens Up

Sleep comes to rest our body
But soul roams as it wishes.
It travels the world alone
When legs deny to move.
Our limbs drown in the river of slumber
To awake again after the dark.
Morning opens up the another day
And unites the body and soul.
New hope shines in the horizon
And says goodbye to despair.
