A Break From Life

The sun shining brightly
in the sky
The moon rest its
Solemn eyes
The roses are taking
a well needed break
From Life
By escaping out of sight
to the river
Where the water
is as fresh as can be
and the view of the
Sun and the Moon
seems so real
the roses sit back
enjoy the show
but in the back row
Five are Missing
Where could they be

poet Ralph Waldo Emerson

What mystic fruit his acres yield
At midnight and at morn?

In the long sunny afternoon,
