Paul WilsonSuffield Poems

Alice and Hannah enter the school
Wanting to abide by all the rules.
Straight in their class and sat on a chair
Wondering why there’s nobody there.
...

As you grow and wonder why it all seems
That the way ahead is the way of your dreams.
To make this happen and your wishes come true
There’s only one person and that person is you.
...

In the middle of the night there is a dig in my side
The sound of laughter, impossible to hide.
You want to play muck about or talk
If you’re not tired go for a walk.
...

Time does press down from above
Evolution forcing time into a symbol of love.
Dinosaurs, Ice, Apes, Neolithic man
Crushed together, then worn on one hand.
...

When you love someone, don’t just throw them aside
Then your feelings for them try to hide.
You can say you want freedom and others to meet
Leaving the one that cares a mess at your feet.

I took the shilling, I learned to serve
I drilled and drilled, built up my nerve.
Side by side we stood as one
Confident in the thought any job could be done.
...

7.

The decorations are up its that time of year
When all good people are filled with cheer.
The presents are wrapped the tree is dressed
Young or old, all are blessed.
...

HEY, is anyone there? Does anyone care?
I have something to say. Something to share.
I’ve been changing now for like, about five years
What do I do? I have so many ideas.
...

I cannot stand eye to eye and explain the way I feel
My heart would pump my legs would shake my nerves they would kill.
The words would tumble from my mouth in an order of their own
My throat will vibrate my voice would change and spew out a new tone.
...

You always look back through misted rims
Where movement isn’t hampered by twisted limbs.
Twenty twenty hindsight is they say
All troubles of time just fade away.
...

Bloody kids never listen, they do what they like
I gave them an Ipod, and even a bike.
I do what can, I give all I can afford
What do you do? they just say I’m bored.
...

A guide is a person that shows you around
From a place of safety through unknown grounds.
Now don’t be afraid of pastures new
When the guide is a spirit taking care of you.
...

I’m at a party tonight it’s for a friend of mine
It’s her birthday you see she’s oh so kind.
There are so many people the music’s so loud
I don’t know anyone else I’m lost in a crowd.
...

Have you ever met a person that gives you a fright
Where everything you do, just feels right.
When you have something to say, and you spew out the line
They say the same words, exactly in time.
...

Do you know that feeling late at night
When the kids are asleep, not a movement in sight?
Your sitting in your chair with the tele on low
Rejoice in the peace, that any moment may go.
...

I have the right
I have the right
To be what I may
Fat thin, tall short, black white, straight or gay
...

The ground is soft, with a feeling that’s cool
Twinkling like the stars, as the sun hits the dew.
The sun is warm, but I don’t trust the light
Any move in the distance would give me a fright.
...

I have a friend that’s been disabled for years
One thought out of place and her face streams with tears.
It’s hard to be friends with a cripple of this kind
When the trouble is not physical, but deep in the mind.
...

From North, South, East and West
Touching all lives or naked breast.
Embracing the happy, cutting into the bad
Enhancing the dreams you never had.
...

I get up in the morning and clean clothes are there
Breakfast is on the table, when I go downstairs.
Now somebody does this day after day
And takes care of my needs in every possible way.

Paul WilsonSuffield Biography

Born in Gosport the Son of a broken family and then on to be a single parent. Life and all it's unexpected secret happenings have helped to turn this mind into an emotional sponge. The sponge as always when squeezed oozes emotions onto the page. The style is not that which popular society would say or support as good poetry. Yet each person who reads the works feels the works, can you do that?)

Demon Head Teacher

Alice and Hannah enter the school
Wanting to abide by all the rules.
Straight in their class and sat on a chair
Wondering why there’s nobody there.
After ten minutes they go to the hall
To look for the Teachers pupils and all.
Like a scene from the movies they can hear not a sound
Feeling scared because no ones around.
Remembering a story told long ago
Of the demon head teacher and her deeds of woe.
Hiding the children and making them say
Their innocent souls she can take away.
Being clean of mind and strong of heart
You from your parents she can never part.
On hearing a thump and then a door slam
The children did run as fast as they can.
Down the passage out the door
Tripped on a step and fell on the floor.
Ready to die and meet their maker
The hand on their shoulder was just the caretaker.
Helping them up in a very kind way
Said why are you here on a school holiday.
