Young Not Stupid Poem by Paul WilsonSuffield

Young Not Stupid

HEY, is anyone there? Does anyone care?
I have something to say. Something to share.
I’ve been changing now for like, about five years
What do I do? I have so many ideas.
I want to tell you, you know spew it all out
Come on, come on, do I have to shout?
I want to be this, I want to be that.
You say just sit, do this, do that.
You know something people, I’m a kind of go-getter
I’m thinking that age, just might not mean better.
The only difference between us, is just a number of years
I can feel, laugh, have fun and shed tears.
I’m a person too, full grown, all done
You see dear elders; I’m really not stupid, just young
