The day you opened the gate
Of your heart and invited me in
I felt as if swimming in sky
Pain vanished and I was in heaven

The day you took me
In your arms and planted a kiss
Flowers began to bloom in my garden
My loneliness met its sad demise

The day you stepped out
Of your house to be my lovely bride
I felt as if God was all pleased with me
My gratitude for Him I could not hide.

The potion of love was hard
In to its taste we began to succumb
In each others arms we got peace
A seed began to sprout in your womb

You are mine and I’m yours
A score of years has passed by
You still open a spark in young hearts
And as you say, I’m still young and shy
