Violation Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Violation

Saw a pretty girl
in an office today
Her eyes were on fire
not sure what to say

Her probation officer sat
cradling the phone
Said, 'take her now,
she's not going home'

In violation she was
for disobeying the court
The cuff's went on
Her liberty cut short

So off she went
back to jail
Once again she'd tried
again she'd failed

Hard to stay clean
walk that straight line
Two steps forward
One behind

Poignant poem; you obviously have a compassionate heart, and your words, so moving, have made me feel that compassion. Thank you for that; it is what humanity needs more of. Superb.
