Victims Of The Cold Poem by Smoky Hoss

Victims Of The Cold

Rating: 5.0

leaves fall
like tears of sorrow
the last one
goes tomorrow

the wind and trees
had their little dance
made their love
took their chance

when autumn colors come
burning
there'll be no
returning

rake
the leaves
dead
beneath the trees

summer's over
and done
...goodbye my old friend
the sun

frost
and cold
a story
of old

winters victims all
are we
say the signs given
in the trees

Another of natures ways of letting us know the cycles of life and the seasons. Excellent poem, Smoky, thank you.
