Time Poem by Ocean Myranda

Time

Rating: 2.5

As you pass by
Everything seems to fly,
Although you can go slow,
You cause a harder blow.

Ticking of a clock gets louder as each second past,
If I could only freeze you,
Not knowing which second will be my last,
You mock when there’s nothing left to do.

Speeding through the good times,
Slowing through the worst of times,
Laughing when something goes wrong,
Knowing how to ruin this for me, it won’t be long.

Losing the one thing I need,
Slowing down for the pain,
You are finishing this deed,
You left me to die, broken and alone, in the rain.

Feeling the hatred towards me,
No longer being able to see,
Hiding in the corner from you,
Still, you find me through and through.

Faster and faster you move,
Holding on to every second that’s faced,
Not knowing what else to prove,
The precious seconds I don’t want to waste.

Mocking me with nothing to lose,
Knowing you will cause a bruise,
The clock ticking away,
Feeling sick, I start to sway.

Grasping for anything in reach,
You grin as the fear flows through me,
Gasping for air with every screech,
You knew this day would come,

This is my last plea,
Smiling, you think this is fun,
With every gasp, my heart beats like a drum,
I know I can’t win, I give up, you won,

My time here is done.
