This Love

This love -
it is all I have.
Deprive me of it
transpose into yare.

Seek a qualm,
guilt creeps inside
to get you.

Deliberately reciprocate all
memories, feelings, thoughts.
They have always been mine.

You are my savior.
I am the remnant survivor.
If you die then I die too.

You forgot me not.
I dwelled on trifiling circumstances.
Forgive me for I have sinned.

Let us start once more,
erase all the disagreements.
For once
just be reticent.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This here is yet another 'love' poem. It tells the story of how a person does not wish for her love to be taken away by anyone else. She wants him to herself. She is reminding him of what they have endured together and wants to start again with a clean slate.

Sometimes, the slate is cleaned, other times it is like a computer the past still resides in the latent memory. To be recalled at a later date. It is harder to forget, then remember always. Once the fog bank has been lifted, sometimes it is very long wait you will have another chance at it. Love is a strong motivator in all things including dancing, if you stepped on her toes the first time you think you will not remember to avoid those tripping feet. Sometimes, it is constant clash and that is why you love each other, and you have to make it work, because you will fight, and you can't let either insecurities, or pride get in the way of how you really feel. The more open you are the easier it will become, That is beat of loves drum. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
