The Tree Of Life Poem by J22 Poet

The Tree Of Life

I see a tree, barren and gray
How long has it stood?
No one can say

It provides shade where you can stay
But how deep go its roots?
No one can say

For taking its fruit, you will have to pay
But will it be worth it?
No one can say

Around there is calm, yet not one sun ray
An imminent storm?
No one can say

If there are attackers, keep them at bay
How long will it stand?
Will it survive the day?
In the end, no one can say
