The cool wind of November
Sometimes forces me to think
I should awake or not
From under the blanket it is so hard
To slip out and open the windows
The little sparrow shivers in cold
And knocks at the pane with its beak
To let it in to the room
And perch in a corner where
The cool wind can't reach
I feel the cold floor under my feet
As I open the window the sparrow rushes
Inside and settles in my bed
Top score for this sweet little poem on the cool autumn and sparrows. To my favourite as well
Sparrows rushing in from outside in cool November and settling in the warm room most affectionately.
Severity of weather affects all creatures. The mood is captured beautifully. We all need warmth and what better thing than to provide someone warmth and comfort. Kudos!
