The Queen Of Our Hearts Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Queen Of Our Hearts

Queen Elizabeth II is dead
The whole world seems to be wailing, mourning
All day and night long, from early morning
To very late of the dead
Of the night. The Queen's pictures
Are everywhere. Different features
Of the deceased Queen are on
All the channels. Once upon
A time, there was a Queen
Who lasted seventy years reigning
Over many countries in the Caribbean
In Africa and elsewhere. Many are mourning
And the others don't seem to care
‘Cause people die every second of the hour. Is it fair
That we see so much pomp and grandeur
In this day and age, when so many live in horror
Hunger, poverty and insecurity? Yet, we tend to forget
About the Queen of our hearts: Our Dear Mother
That we take for granted and love with all our heart
Love our Mom, because she's the true Mother Nature
Spread love, spread the seeds of affection to all Women
On the planet. And remember that Mom is our real Queen.
