The Narcissist Poem by louis rams

The Narcissist

You ask me what is wrong with me and why do I cry?
Maybe it's because I have to say good-bye!
I had a life full of joy as I grew up from a little boy
I saw what love could do,when I laid my eyes on you.
The warmth of your touch, the look in your eyes
Made my heart want to fly, and the tenderness of your lips
When you gave me my that firstkiss.
Being held in a warm embrace as I looked upon your face.
There was a glow surrounding you and that's when I
Knew I was in love with you.
As time went by that glow diminished and that's when
I knew our love was finished.
Maybe I am to blame that a narcissist you became?
Everything was about you and the things that you've gone through.
Your needs, your wants, took control and you neglected me
And took me for granted and never made me feel important
If it didn't go with your needs and on that you did feed.

Yes!It's time for me to say good-bye and I can't live with the constant lies.
Lying to my self and my heart, as it continues tearing me apart.
