The Lighter Side Of Philosophy

THE LIGHTER SIDE OF
PHILOSOPHY

There are people who try to sell solutions for
everything,
I tell them to think once more, from the very
beginning!
Since no victory is ever final, there is no war
to end all wars;
While we revolve in space and time, as this
life we must endure!

The actors in just three hours play their may
parts,
Which humans take a life-time to perform,
In their endeavor to perfect their art!
All the world remains a stage for the motley
clown and the fool,
While many a deluded Hitler think, they can
conquer and forever rule!
This world becomes a comedy for those who
pause to think;
And tragedy for our Othello, who are not so
wise and only feel!

My God dies when my consciousness ends,
To this I make no false pretence!
Yet my conscience pricks to make me sorry, -
showing me all my folly!
And to cut short this verse and story I must say, -
That faith in God is a matter of ‘choice’,
Since God is no man’s monopoly!

A zero as a prefix means nothing at all,
But as a suffix it gains infinite stature, -
Which I cannot fathom at all!
If Alpha and Omega are two points, in our
space and time,
They are kept separated by Him, who recreates
all the while!
But mathematicians claim they are both a single
point and are same,
While the beginning keeps chasing the end, -
Like a puppy dog’s tail!

Now please don’t ask me why, when and how, -
I have no firm answers to these things!
My guess remains as good as yours, like every
other thing!
But should I tell you life is good, do not have
any doubt,
It is the attitude we display towards life,
And the way we move about!

IN A LIGHTER VAIN, SINCE I HAD BEEN WRITING MAINLY
ON SERIOUS PHILOSOPHICAL SUBJECTS SO FAR!)
