Resurrection Poem by Rehnuma Tarannum

Resurrection

Rating: 5.0

Evil in me: Come here and fall in sleep, till you get up in pain,
For having missed the joy of getting drenched in the rain.

Cover your ears, and don't yield to that sound,
Which is calling your name from the children's play-ground.

Close your eyes, in case it's still the daylight,
It will be a clearer view for you in the dark of the night.

Shut down the windows; don't smell those sweet roses red,
With your unworthy presence their charm will fade.

Don't sing that love song, which soothes young lover's heart,
For sure it will awaken the lusty monster hidden in human earth.

Don't try to feel alive, and stay behind the shade,
Don't feed your soul, but count yourself among the dead.

Where kindness and honesty are dead and spirituality is in ruins...
You can exist in this world of menace, if you follow these means.

Evil is everywhere lurking in the dark to possess your soul,
You must kill your senses to forget your human role.

Angel in me: No, that will be the biggest evil and a barrier to my salvation,
I will rise, and fight the dark in me; thats the only way of my resurrection.

Though morality and didactic attitudes are always not recommended by groups namely arts for art sake... Your verse balances both artistic presentation and the intended message..... super title and the picture included...... Congratulations.... S. Nurul.
