A Request Poem by Rehnuma Tarannum

A Request

Rating: 5.0

Can I ask you my love? Ask you to give me a night
From your life which will be long and bright.

But I just ask for one night of bliss with you,
When I will let my heart and body subdue,

A night when I will be loved and cuddled in your arms,
After that it will be worth it if the Death comes.

Gonna live a whole life in that night stretched to eternity,
I wanna taste your soul and thrive on your beauty.

Does it matter little to you if I be in your life or not?
So insignificant, am I in your esteem? Only fit to rot?

If I don't deserve to be your lady and can't live by your side,
I will silently hold His cold hands and be Death's bride.

But for one night, love me and make me your Queen,
Tell me that I am beautiful and say it like you really mean.

Hold me close to you, let your kiss cut through my skin,
Let me be bold and unfold my core for you to be seen.

Let my tear-drops glide and slide through your warm chest,
Caress my hair with your hands till I fall into eternal rest.
